Short Term Mission
Get on a Plane!
Mukti recognises and loves the fact that every person is different and has something unique to offer. That's why we love to send volunteers to Mukti as short term volunteers so they can have the opportunity to share their unique skills and abilities with the women and children at Mukti.
If you have creative skills, put them to work teaching in the School of Creative Arts (Vocational training). If you are a teacher, you could assist in the English school or the Special School. If you have administration skills you could work in the office assisting the office staff. No matter what your skill set, there is a place for you to serve in Mukti India.
Every year Mukti Australia sends short term volunteers to Mukti. We expect you to undertake training so that you are sensitive to serving in another culture, but we will help you with that too. MIST is our preferred training program.

Youth & Young Adult Trip
In January 2011 we took a Youth & Young Adults Trip to India. Seven young adults travelled from Melbourne to Delhi, and from there visited the Taj Mahal. They then spent 8 nights at Mukti serving the children, women and staff there. They ended off the trip by visiting Mumbai, where some of the world's largest slums are. They had an amazing time and all felt it was an experience they would recommend to anyone.
We are considering running future youth and young adults trips - if you are interested, please contact Mukti by emailing us at admin@mukti.org.au or calling us on 03 9890 0211 to register your interest.
Why volunteer? Here’s what our volunteers have to say:

Bronny… "during my time at Mukti I helped out in the Special School where there are girls with physical and mental disabilities, or slow learner problems. But each person is such a joy and they always have a smile on their faces, despite their disabilities. I also enjoyed helping out with office work in the Mukti office."
Helen "My time at Mukti was such a blessing and the girls inspired and encouraged me in my walk with Jesus. Definitely, the time spent with the girls individually and in their family settings and being a part of their lives for a short time was the highlight for me."
Shirley "Six weeks spent as a volunteer at Mukti, India, was an awesome, inspiring experience. There are so many opportunities to serve God by helping the needy to find fresh hope and a new life in Jesus Christ."
